OpenInfra project update:

This version improves file management functions, optimizes the software upgrade process through integrated cloud native tools, and optimizes operation and maintenance. People can use the same set of workflows to manage workloads running on bare metal and public clouds. The above improvements speed up the deployment process, optimize the control panel, and improve security performance. Users can also use Airship to deploy native Kubernetes resources. The declarative model of Airship 2.0 can guarantee the predictability, repeatability and flexibility of cross-site operation and maintenance and upgrades. AT&T has applied Airship on a large scale in actual production. Its 5G network is deployed and managed through Airship. It runs on a 100% containerized OpenStack private cloud platform, and uses Airship to quickly replicate its 5G infrastructure in dozens of regions. StarlingX (an open source cloud platform optimized for low latency and high performance for edge computing and IoT applications) has released the latest version 5.0. StarlingX integrates Ceph, OpenStack, Kebernetes and other technologies to create a fully functional cloud software stack, providing operators and enterprises with all the components needed to deploy edge clouds on a few or hundreds of servers. T-Systems and Verizon use StarlingX for edge and vRAN production practices, and more and more organizations/institutions are evaluating StarlingX software for production deployment.
Zuul plans to release the v5 version this year. Recent software optimizations include support for circular dependencies, improved support for Windows working nodes, serial pipeline management for CD workloads, and the BMW, Volvo Cars and OpenStack communities have used Zuul in production practices.
Kata Containers officially released version 2.0 in October last year.
