Recently, SphereEx signed a CLA (Contribution License Agreement) and officially joined the openGauss community.

SphereEx and openGauss are natural partners. As an enterprise-level open source database, openGauss has the characteristics of high availability, high performance, high security, easy operation and maintenance, and ShardingSphere led by SphereEx, as the upper-layer ecological product of the database, focuses on connecting applications and databases, abstracting the connection layer into pluggable Platform and provide incremental services on top of it. The cooperation between the two parties indicates that ShardingSphere, as an open-source distributed database solution recommended by the openGauss ecosystem, meets the needs of users for database usage in massive data and complex scenarios.

SphereEx will continue to contribute to the construction of openGauss distributed database capabilities. Currently, SphereEx is focusing on better connecting ShardingSphere and openGauss. makes it on the basis of high performance to increase the distributed core capabilities of horizontal expansion. ShardingSphere will be fully compatible with the openGauss protocol, making it transparent to users.
