In the Windows 10 system, the front end of the Microsoft Store is built based on HTML/CSS (web component). For example, the product page is completely based on HTML, but this greatly reduces the response speed and affects the user experience, especially when you click the "Get" or "Install" buttons. The biggest problem with the current Microsoft Store is that it often does not work properly. For example, downloading large applications often fails, and the error code does not give any explanation.

It is reported that in the new generation of Windows 11 system, Microsoft will replace the existing store with a new version of Microsoft Store based on XAML/C#, and it is entirely a Universal Windows Platform ("UWP") application. The performance of the new version of the Microsoft Store has been significantly improved, and no longer fails when downloading medium and large-sized applications and games. According to anonymous sources, downloading large games using the new version of the Microsoft Store will also be faster.

In addition, Microsoft hopes that the Microsoft Store will be more open to developers. To this end, the company has adopted two main measures:

• Support more types of apps, such as Win32, .NET, UWP, Xamarin, Electron, React Native, Java and even Progressive Web Apps and other different frameworks and packaging technologies.
• The flexibility and selectivity of the business platform: Developers can use Microsoft's payment mechanism to list applications and games in the Microsoft Store, and Microsoft's commissions are 15% and 12%, respectively. In addition, since July 28, Microsoft allows developers to bypass its payment mechanism, that is, Microsoft has zero commissions.

It is expected that Microsoft Teams and Visual Studio will be available on the Microsoft Store by the end of this year. In addition, the new version of the Microsoft Store will also include apps such as Adobe Creative Cloud, Disney+, TikTok, and Zoom.
