Developers can request more time to complete Google Play payment policy compliance

Every day we work with developers, we are creating a safe, reliable and smooth Google Play experience for everyone, and ensuring that developers can build a sustainable business here. In September last year, we carried out payment policy to elaborate the time requirements for developers to adopt Google Play settlement system 160ff84c7efd48. Although most developers have already complied with this policy, we know that some developers who use other billing systems may need to make changes to their existing apps. We provide a year for this situation to implement updates.

Many of our partners have been steadily advancing with the deadline of September 30 given earlier. However, we continue to hear from developers from all over the world feedback on the difficulties encountered in the past year, especially for those development teams who are still in areas affected by the global epidemic, it is even more difficult to promote technological updates related to this policy.

After carefully considering the feedback from developers of different team sizes, we provide developers with the option to extend the application for 6 months, that is, postpone the payment policy compliance deadline to March 31, 2022. Starting from July 22nd, developers can Help Center . We will review each application and respond as soon as possible.
