About Apache Pulsar
Apache Pulsar is the top-level project of the Apache Software Foundation. It is the next-generation cloud-native distributed message flow platform. Dear friends from the Apache Pulsar Chinese community, I’ve been waiting for a long time!
We are pleased to announce: Pulsar Summit Asia 2021 will be held from November 20-21, and preparations will be officially launched from today. The call for speech topics is opened simultaneously, and you are welcome to submit Pulsar speech content.
Review of previous summits
In June, the Pulsar Summit North America Summit 2021 ended smoothly. 50+ speakers, 16 communities and corporate partners participated together. Many users and upstream and downstream big data systems demonstrated their practices and joint solutions on Pulsar. The conference also officially announced the first global Pulsar Hackathon 2021 Top 5 team, allowing us to witness the wonderful ideas of community developers.
The Pulsar Summit European Summit 2021 has also completed the review of the topics, and the schedule will be officially announced in the near future, so stay tuned.
Last year's Pulsar Summit Asia Summit, from Tencent, BIGO, Kingsoft Cloud, Splunk, Yahoo! JAPAN, Dada Group, Huawei Cloud, Tuya Smart, China Mobile Cloud, Zhaopin Recruitment and other companies 40+ lecturers at home and abroad, 20+ communities and companies The participation of partners and nearly a thousand community members left a deep impression on us.
In this year, Apache Pulsar contributors broke through 400 milestones. Apache Pulsar 2.8.0 was released. The Chinese community independently or in cooperation with partners successfully organized Meetup and Release Parties in Hangzhou, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Beijing and other places. We are in ArchSummit Shanghai, QCon Exhibitions in Beijing and other conferences, and participation in open source activities such as Summer of Open Source and ApacheCon Asia 2021, the community has grown and expanded...These are important moments that we are worth looking back at. I believe this year's Pulsar Summit Asia Summit 2021 will be even more exciting!
Call for speech details
Topic direction
Pulsar Summit Asia 2021 will still collect topics from multiple dimensions, and the main directions are as follows:
- User case: share the success story of Apache Pulsar in related industries or businesses
- Technical Exploration: Explain the technical details and key features of Apache Pulsar functional components in detail
- Operation and maintenance practice: focus on Apache Pulsar deployment, operation, management, operation and maintenance experience and configuration tuning practices
- Peripheral ecology: discuss Apache Pulsar related upstream and downstream ecosystem integration cases or joint solutions
The topic dimension is for reference, not limited to the above directions, if you have other creative content, you are also welcome to submit.

Question 1. Will this year's summit still be held online?
Taking into account factors such as cross-time zone, epidemic prevention and control, and community communication needs, we decided to organize this summit in a mixed mode: on November 20th, the first day of the main conference will be held in Beijing, synchronized online live broadcast; November 21st The schedule for the second day of the conference will be broadcast live online. We will continue to pay attention to changes in the epidemic and make flexible adjustments in due course. Please pay attention to the announcement of the follow-up conference schedule for specific arrangements.
Question 2. What is the registration address for the summit?
We are preparing the official website of the summit event, and the registration address of the event will be released along with the new official website. If you can't participate in offline events, you are also welcome to make an appointment for online live broadcast through the registration system to obtain live broadcast information in time.
Question 3. What is the offline venue and live broadcast address of the summit?
We are preparing the venue for the event on November 20th. Welcome to follow the community notice at any time. The live broadcast address will be pushed to those who have successfully registered before the event.
Question 4. Will there be any training activities this year?
At present, a one-day Apache Pulsar training course is planned to be launched offline on November 19. Please pay attention to the follow-up registration notice. This training course will still invite members of Apache Pulsar PMC as course lecturers.
