According to foreign media reports, Microsoft has just officially confirmed that the Windows 11 taskbar will no longer support calendar pop-ups and drag and drop applications to the taskbar. It is reported that Windows 11 is in the final stage of testing, and several preview versions have been iterated for members of Dev and Beta channels. The highly anticipated official version of Windows 11 RTM may be signed in September, and full push will begin on October 19. .

In the latest reply of Microsoft's feedback center, Microsoft has admitted to delete the clock display function-"Show Seconds ln ystem Clock" (the taskbar clock displays the time in seconds).

Regarding the problem that the above functions cannot be used on Windows 11, Microsoft wrote in its reply:

"We are sorry, this is not a registry key supported by Windows 11.Thank you very much for your feedback, and we will continue
to use this feedback to guide the future of the clock".

Translation: "Sorry, Windows 11 no longer supports this feature. Thank you very much for your feedback, and we will continue to use this feedback to guide the future of this feature."

It is reported that this feature was previously supported in Windows 10. Users can access the calendar pop-up window by clicking the clock icon on the right side of the taskbar, which is convenient for adding events to the calendar, and can also be synchronized to Microsoft/Outlook/Exchange account devices .

However, Microsoft has confirmed that in the upcoming version of Windows 11, the taskbar system clock has given up supporting the display of seconds, the event integration function has been deleted, and it no longer supports viewing the agenda.

In this regard, Microsoft explained:

"If you want, you can add two clocks in the position of the pop-up window under Settings-Time and Language-Date and Time-Additional Clocks. It is worth noting that the display of seconds in the pop-up window is currently not supported, but your feedback The team has been given future considerations."

Therefore, for old users, if they still want to display the seconds on the taskbar on the screen, they only need to download third-party applications such as T-Clock Redux after Windows 11 is installed.

In addition, Microsoft Windows 11 no longer allows users to change the entire taskbar, and does not allow users to ungroup items/applications. For example, the taskbar can be moved to any side of the taskbar (top, left and right of the screen) through the window function, and dragging files or applications to the taskbar is no longer supported, so users can only be forced to place them now. The taskbar at the bottom of the screen.

It is understood that we do not know whether this feature will be disabled or will be restored in a future version, but Microsoft said it is listening to user feedback.

Currently, the beta version of Windows 11 has been released for download, and the official version will be released in October 2021. For the above-mentioned features and applications that are no longer supported on Windows 11, Microsoft has not yet revealed its next plan. For more information, let us look forward to the surprise on the day that Windows 11 is released!
