Introduction to Custom Domain Name Capability

WeChat Cloud Hosting supports two service access methods: "internal access" and "public access".
To call between services in the applet, the built-in WeChat private protocol can be used to complete access through the intranet domain name, eliminating the need for domain name configuration and filing.
In particular, for multi-terminal scenarios such as PC Web sites and H5 web pages, which require the use of existing domain names for public network access services, WeChat Cloud Hosting has supported bind a custom domain name . After binding, you can access the service through a personalized domain name , More flexible.

Four simple steps to complete the custom domain name binding!

Step 1: Domain name preparation

If you don't have a domain name, you can go to Tencent Cloud to register a domain name.

Step 2: Domain name registration

The custom domain name only supports the registered domain name for binding. If the domain name has not been registered with any cloud service provider, you can go to Tencent Cloud for domain name registration.

Step 3: Bind a custom domain name

Go to "WeChat Cloud Hosting-Service Management-Custom Domain Name" and click "Bind Custom Domain Name".

On the "Custom Domain Name" page, click "Bind Domain Name". If HTTPS access is required, upload the certificate signature and secret key, save it and bind it.

The specific options in the figure above are in order:

Associated Services: selects the services associated with a custom domain name;
domain name: target custom domain name; only supports first-level domain names; the domain name must be registered for the domain name, otherwise it cannot be accessed;
HTTPS: The access method currently supports HTTP and HTTPS, and HTTPS is used by default;
certificate: HTTPS access needs to upload the certificate, you can go to the platform where the certificate was purchased to download the certificate signature and private key, and upload it.

After completing the above configuration items, click "OK" to bind the custom domain name to the target service and generate a binding message in the list.

At the same time, it provides "editing" and "unbinding" capabilities.

Step 4: Add CNAME record

After the custom domain name is bound, the CNAME information will be returned in the domain name list.

You can go to a DNS service provider (such as DNSPod) to add a CNAME record, and point the domain name to the service CNAME domain name returned by WeChat Cloud Hosting (for example, if configured in DNSPod, you can view the CNAME configuration guide).

📢Tips：

WeChat Cloud Hosting also supports binding domain names registered in other cloud service vendors, but domain names need to be filed before binding;

1 custom domain name corresponds to 1 service, and 1 service can correspond to multiple custom domain names;
