In the previous lesson, "VMware backup to the cloud learning train is here, join it~" we have introduced how to migrate the backup of VMware virtual machines to the cloud. When encountering incidents such as misoperation, virus intrusion, and data loss, how can we use the existing backup to quickly restart the business? In this lesson we will learn how to use these backups to quickly restore data.

The first type of recovery: recovery to a server on the cloud

If the local data center encounters hardware failures and other events, the public cloud can be used as a disaster recovery site, and cloud backup can directly use the backup to quickly release cloud servers on the cloud. The data in the cloud server is consistent with the local data, which can help quickly start business .

Recovery Type 2: Recovery to the original VMware virtual machine

In addition to restoring to a cloud server on the cloud, Cloud Backup also supports restoring the backup data to the original machine. After restoring, the data will be the same as the backup time point. You can make a backup before major operation changes~

Recovery Type 3: Recovery to other virtual machines

If you don't want to restore to the original machine, you can also restore to other virtual machines of the same model~ You can restore the data of other virtual machines to the same data as the original machine's backup time point.
