Microsoft has confirmed that running Windows 11 on Apple's M1 chip device is an "unsupported" solution.

According to The Register report, a Microsoft spokesperson has authenticated to the media that the fact that running Windows 11 on Apple M1 devices is not a "supported scenario" of the operating system. I believe this sounds like good news for original equipment manufacturers.

According to reports, users can use the new version 17 of the virtualization tool Parallels Desktop to run the Windows 11 beta on the Apple M1 processor. But unfortunately, suddenly the development version encountered a hardware compatibility error when using the software.

Fortunately, the Parallels Desktop 17.0.1 upgrade version has solved this problem, but considering that Microsoft does not support the M1 chip for the time being, Parallels Desktop cannot guarantee that a similar situation will not happen again.

When the media asked Parallels how to make the Windows 11 preview run on the M1 chip, they did not give an explanation. Subsequently, the media also asked Microsoft whether it supports running Windows 11 on the M1 version of Mac through Parallels, and was later told that "this is not supported, and running the operating system directly on the hardware is also not supported."

We know that some bugs appeared in the Windows Insider version launched by Microsoft last week, which caused a severely damaged taskbar and a new version of the start menu (Microsoft called it "server-side deployment"). Currently. Microsoft has already corrected it. In addition to some unsupported scenes, Microsoft also introduced a new 60-second highlight, demonstrating the "miracle" of Windows 11.

So in summary, the only way to run Windows 11 at this stage is to prepare a fully compatible PC to install the operating system.

It is reported that Microsoft Windows 11 will be released on October 15. The company is currently continuing to adjust the preview code for Windows insiders through development and testing channels, actively fixing BUGs and optimizing background performance.

Generally speaking, domestic Apple users prefer dual-system operation, but now, since Microsoft has determined that Windows 11 does not support running on the M1 version of Mac, users who have already started M1 devices may be a little disappointed.

The much-anticipated Apple Autumn New Product Launch Conference will be officially held tomorrow morning (that is, at 1:00 AM on September 15th, Beijing time). In addition to the "absolute protagonist" new iPhone 13 series phones, MacBook Pro or Apple M1X chip There will also be new news, let's look forward to it!
