User management plays an important role in an enterprise of any size. The challenge is how to ensure that each team member has the appropriate authority to perform its duties, while not excessively exposing data that has nothing to do with the enterprise.
For a long time, users hope that we can provide a better user and permission management tool in the Play Management Center to help everyone respond to development efficiently and confidently. This time, with redesigned Google Play Management Center , we achieved this goal. We have reorganized the interface to make it easier for you to find what you want, and we have added some features to help you manage your team more easily.
△ The "Users and Permissions" page has been redesigned so that administrators can manage their teams more easily
We have rewritten the permission names and descriptions to make it easier for you to understand the permissions granted to users. You will also find a clearer distinction between account-level and application-level permissions.
You can also take advantage of the new search, filtering, and batch editing functions to quickly view and manipulate a subset of users.
Finally, to make the review easier, we have added a CSV export function for users who have a developer account.
Brand new access request
As far as we know, although administrators usually set permissions for users, it’s more helpful to allow users to execute requests when they determine the permissions required for their workflow. Now, this has been achieved. Although the administrator still needs to approve the request, the user can request the exact permissions needed, saving the administrator a lot of time.
In the Play Control Center, users can now see the "Request access" button next to each supported action that is not enabled due to lack of permissions. To request permission, users need to explain their needs to the administrator. The administrator’s inbox will be notified to grant permissions to specific users and applications. The administrator can also reject this request once or permanently to prevent users from abuse of this feature. Currently, this feature only supports granting permissions to apps.

Brand new permission group
When the company reaches a certain size, it is not uncommon for multiple people to hold the same position (such as project manager or designer) at the same time. When this happens, the administrator may find that he needs to assign the same set of permissions repeatedly.
To save your time, we have recently launched a permission group. Administrators can now create groups with a set of permissions, and when users are added to the group, the users will automatically have these permissions. You can even set the permissions in this group to expire after a certain date. At the same time, users can be in multiple groups, and the permissions in these groups can overlap. We hope you can improve your work practices with the help of permission groups, and encourage you to simplify user management through greater authorization.
We hope that these new changes will help administrators improve their work efficiency and help the team make the most of the Play Management Center.
