Nebula Graph is an open source graph database. We welcome cooperation with all parties, including various cloud vendors and friends. However, we oppose the endless absorption of individual companies from the open source community and not contribute to the open source community. Therefore, in the project’s At the beginning, we chose the Apache 2.0 License and added Common Clause 1.0.
On November 2, 2021, Mr. Wu Sheng, director of ASF, raised an issue to us in the community, pointing out that our previous protocol design did not comply with the Apache 2.0 License specification. Thank you Mr. Wu Sheng for explaining the license. As the project owner of Nebula Graph, we attach great importance to this and quickly decided to remove all Common Clause 1.0 clauses in the project, and only support Apache 2.0 License.
We firmly embrace open source and believe in the power of the community. Thanks to the open source community for their continued support of the Nebula Graph project. We will definitely serve the community with faster iterations and better products. At the same time, we also welcome any suggestions and feedback to GitHub to submit issues to us.
