The surface appearance is defined by a material model and a set of control parameters. As shown in the figure below, after adding textures of various materials to the picture on the left, the realism is immediately apparent. Material maps have been widely used in games, architecture, design and other fields.

In the process of material production and application, users face some problems and pain points in texture acquisition, texture processing, etc., such as the production process is time-consuming and labor-intensive, and the cost is high, and users may need to spend a lot of time and energy to find suitable texture resources, etc.

How does solve these pain points? We provide three ideas: one is to use the deep learning inference network to generate texture elements that conform to the PBR standard with one click to improve the efficiency and quality of texture production; Reuse materials between different projects and renderers through data, and inherit the experience of art production; the third is to fully combine the above two ideas, based on the material generation capabilities of HMS Core 3D modeling service , to establish a variety of material libraries to avoid users Waste time on finding material maps, and make users' models more beautiful through efficient screening and application of material libraries.

1. Material Generation Capability

The material generation capability of HMS Core 3D modeling service can convert RGB images to PBR materials. Users only need to input RGB images, and then one-click generation including diffuse map, normal map, specular map, roughness map, height map Five texture types. Material types include concrete, marble, rock, gravel, brick, plaster, clay, metal, wood, bark, leather, fabric, lacquer, plastic, synthetic materials, etc., and currently supports the output of 1k-8k textures, Help developers generate materials that are more in line with actual needs.

2. A rich, high-definition, fast, and easy-to-use material library

Based on the powerful material generation capability, the 3D modeling service provides users with a rich material library. The material library can filter scenes and types according to user needs and provide PBR material maps, and supports functions such as query, preview and download, which are convenient for users to use efficiently according to their needs and improve work efficiency. Users only need to open the 3D modeling service in AGC (AppGallery Connect), enter "My Project", click "Build > 3D Modeling Service", and select "Material Library" to enter the material library page.

A filter search function is provided on the home page, enter the name of the material to be retrieved in the search box, and click query to obtain the relevant material.

Click Resolution and Scene to filter the eligible materials.

To filter out the materials that meet the specified conditions, you can flexibly choose to sort by upload time or preview amount by default, helping users quickly and efficiently filter out the materials they want to acquire.

2. 1k-4k high-definition texture maps, where you want to use them

Many walls, shapes, and wood require materials to express structure, space, expected effects, and so on. After the model is added to the high-definition material map of the material library, a clear gap can be seen.

Click on the picture to preview the material. At present, the preview provides the preview effect of the sphere, cube and plane of the material, and supports mouse dragging and wrapping display.

3. 30000+ massive materials, rich in variety, continuously updated, can be downloaded directly

At present, the material library provides 32,066 materials covering 16 categories. If the material meets user needs, you can click the lower right corner of the preview page to download it directly. The download result is a zip archive containing material maps. After decompression, the output is in jpg format, which can be used directly, which is convenient and fast. Subsequent material libraries will also be continuously updated and upgraded according to user needs, so stay tuned.
