Zhiting Home Cloud + Home Assistant connects to HomeKit and connects to Mijia devices

The previous article focused on the initial installation and deployment of Home Assistant and Zhiting Home Cloud. Today, I will focus on how Home Assistant and Zhiting Home Cloud connect to HomeKit and implement HomeKit device functions, that is, control these devices in the Android mobile home app.

1. Install HomeKit on Zhiting Home Cloud

1. Log in to Haozhiting Home Cloud App and click Add Smart Device SA (Smart Center)

2. Select SA (Smart Center) and add

3. Click the support brand, find the HomeKit plug-in package add in the interface, then complete the installation of the HomeKit plug-in package, and return to the home page to add a smart device

Note: Zhiting Home Cloud provides access within the local area network, and also opens a plug-in interface, and provides a plug-in development SDK to facilitate the access of third-party devices. At the same time, it can also control the smart home in the external network by binding to the Zhiting cloud account.

Second, Home Assistant enables HomeKit

1. Since Home Assistant comes with HomeKit components, we use the UI method to click "Configuration" --> "Integration" --> "Add Integration" on the homeassistant interface.

2. Search for "homekit" in the pop-up interface, there will be two, the first homekit is. Another homekit controller is used to add homekit-enabled devices to the homeassistant.
   
3. Click homekit, and then select the domain you want to access homekit. If you don't know how to choose, you can generally choose a few commonly used ones first, and you can choose the others later.

4. After selection is complete, click "Submit"
   
5. In the interface that comes out, click "Submit" again.

6. After a while, it will pop up, let's select the area for this integration, after selecting, click "Finish"

7. Click the notification in the sidebar, a QR code will appear, and the addition is complete.

Note: The Home Assistant we used can only be accessed within the local area network. About Zhiting Home Cloud and Home Assistant to connect to HomeKit, all operations have been completed.
