Step 2: Check "Learn more about renewal" at the bottom of the certification page
If your certificate is about to expire, Microsoft will also proactively remind you to renew it by email. This link can also be accessed in the renewal email. Below is the renewal email.
Step 3: Go to the renewal details page and connect the verified profile to see if renewal is required. You can renew your Advanced Role Certificate or Special Skills Certificate if it is valid for less than 6 months.

Step 4: If the time conditions for renewal are met, the certificate can be renewed by completing the online assessment questions. On the certificate renewal page, you can see "Preparing for the renewal assessment", which lists the modules and paths of supplementary study required for the renewal assessment. You can study online for free. Do the assessment questions after you finish the study.
Step 5: The link in the renewal email will take you to the online test assessment questions on Microsoft Learn. After you pass the online test, the validity period of your certificate will be extended for one year from the original validity period.
If you don't pass the first time, you can try the assessment again immediately. If it fails the second time, you must wait at least 24 hours before making any other attempts.
