But a few days before the meeting, another elementary OS co-founder, Cassidy James Blaede, announced that he was leaving the company and said he had accepted a full-time position at another company, a news too sudden for Danielle Foré to deal with.

But since Cassidy James Blaede made up his mind, Danielle Foré couldn't force it, so they began to discuss funding. Danielle Foré proposes an equal distribution of the company's assets based on the two parties' shares in the company, that is, one person keeps the company and the other takes half of the money, or $26,000.

After discussions, Cassidy James Blaede accepted the amount and decided to leave the company, while Danielle Foré will remain with the company.

But before the formal agreement was signed, Cassidy James Blaede changed his mind. He commissioned an email from a lawyer saying that Cassidy now wants $30,000, and needs to continue to receive $70,000 in the next 10 years, and retain a 5% stake. , Cassidy will profit from any future sale of the company.
