who I am? ｜A Shuangfei, Older Youth's Career Change

I'm Leo, at the end of 2019, 30 years old, single, unemployed.
I decided to start a new life and embark on the road of changing careers~

This is the best way and the worst way.

The reason why I say it's the best way is because I'm close to finding a sustainable career path that suits me.

The reason why it is said to be the worst way is because I don't know, what is the probability of success of this one-shot?
If no company is willing to extend an olive branch to me, then my confidence to give up in the end will be exhausted. Maybe I will accept the reality and live my life.

Why switch careers?

Before I switched careers, I had been working in the clerical category.
In the work, it is necessary to deal with the interpersonal relationships of various departments and coordinate all aspects in order to successfully complete the work that is in charge of them.
Maybe it's such a long-term pull, I start to feel physically and mentally exhausted,
If you look at the ceiling you can reach, you may have reached the end.

Seeing the upcoming 30th year, do I still have a chance?

• It is to continue to maintain the current job, to live well and not badly, to be insufficient and more than the next
• Or go back to your hometown and trust some connections. With your education, you can get idle positions in government agencies in fourth- and fifth-tier cities.

In the end, I decided to give it a go and change careers!

Looking back now, I am very fortunate that when I could advance and retreat, I chose "advance".
Then move on, let's get started!

Why test?

I don't know, is this a "dimension reduction strike"?

I had a bad hand at the time:

• non-college background
• Have never worked on the Internet
• old age

Looking at it this way, it seems to be a hard injury. Can you change careers?
I have questioned this decision once.

However, here are two cards that look good:

• Knowledge of programming languages (initially planned to switch to development)
• Strong self-learning ability

The combination of this deck of cards can't help me get the first place, but I can try to fight for the second and keep the third.
So I adjusted the direction of the career change - test engineer.

September 2020: I officially joined as a test engineer;
March 2022: Through job-hopping, he entered a medium-sized Internet company as a test engineer;

The original intention of continuous writing

There are two aspects, one is for myself:

1. Enter a better company, have a better technical atmosphere, and use the output to force yourself to input;
2. One more choice to break the anxiety of 35 years old

On the other hand, in order to help other people, especially my friends who changed careers to do tests like me:

1. From the perspective of a career changer, restore the real test life

This is my transition path.
Maybe, I will change careers to do other things in the future, but I have no regrets on this journey.
