And this year is also the 10th anniversary of the founding of the SegmentFault community. The interesting thing is that the number "10" represents a carry in both decimal and binary in the computer world. The meaning of our community, this is an evolution!

Ten years ago I wrote the first line of code for SegmentFault, which started with a simple idea: to allow developers to communicate better in Chinese. Of course, the status of English as the lingua franca of development is unquestionable, and it also contributes the largest and most quintessential knowledge in the computer world. However, with the rise of software development and the Internet in China, more and more Chinese developers are constrained by the inability to communicate these cutting-edge knowledge in their native language, and we cannot enjoy a first-class community environment. This creates a de facto information asymmetry, and as a developer, I can't turn a blind eye to such a huge bug.

The SegmentFault community was built to eliminate knowledge inequality in the development world. We want to bring the wisdom of developers together, and we want to build a strong community.

Fortunately, the ideals have not left us since the inception of the community, but have become clearer. More and more users are building this community together in ways we never thought possible. We met in the community, changing the world with knowledge. Now that ONES has also joined in, we do not regard it as a simple business activity. It means that our community concept has been recognized, and it also means that there are more forces willing to work with us to achieve our ideals.

At the heart of a community is consensus.

In today's world, fragmentation seems to be the theme, and distrust and non-cooperation flood the Internet. But throughout human history, fragmented consciousness has often led to weakness. Doing great things requires collaboration, and the foundation of collaboration is consensus.

As a Chinese developer Q&A community, our goal is to gather the wisdom of developers. Therefore, we encourage sharing and embrace openness. We believe that information asymmetry affects the improvement of productivity. We will make every effort to break down the barriers of knowledge. We must make knowledge dissemination more efficient, and we must make professional and reliable knowledge benefit everyone. .

When we crossed the steps of ten years, there is a wider sky in front of us. Although the turbulent currents of the times are blowing around, the flames in our hearts are getting stronger and stronger. Everything in the past ten years is behind us, and when we stand at a new starting point, everything in the past has been reset to zero, and a new body is ready to go.
