A browser usually refers to an application program used to retrieve, display and transmit Web resource information, which can present web pages, pictures, videos, and other information on the Web to us.

If you start a poll now: "What do you think is a good browser?" Then the supporters of mainstream browsers such as Chrome, Sogou, 360, Firefox, etc. will definitely be on the same level. But if the vote was: "What's the hardest browser to use?" then IE might have the most votes.

IE stands for Internet Explorer, which is a graphical user interface web browser built into the Windows95 operating system by Microsoft in 1995. As one of the most successful operating systems in Microsoft's history, Windows 95 has been widely acclaimed. Riding the Windows95 boom, IE became the most widely used web browser and reached its golden age between 2002 and 2003. At that time, the utilization rate of the IE browser was as high as 95%. It can be said that everyone surfed the Internet at that time completely relying on the IE browser.

With the launch of the Mozilla Firefox browser in 2004 and the Google Chrome browser in 2008, the usage of IE has gradually declined, although it has undergone constant version changes, not only developed for Windows Phone, Windows Mobile, and even non-Microsoft platforms Mac OS Corresponding Internet Explorer for Mac and Internet Explorer for UNIX were also developed. However, everyone still did not choose the IE browser when using it. Even in 2015, even Microsoft itself gave up the IE browser and replaced IE with the new browser Microsoft Edge as the default browser for Windows 10.

On August 17, 2020, Microsoft announced that it will gradually stop supporting Internet Explorer before the end of November. I believe that everyone was mentally prepared for the cessation of IE at that time. And just today, Microsoft Edge browser officially released a blog post announcing that IE browser will be officially retired on June 16, 2022.

Since then, the IE browser that has accompanied the post-80s and 90s for 27 years will officially say goodbye to everyone. To be honest, I believe that everyone is still somewhat reluctant to say goodbye to IE. After all, it can be said to be the witness of youth for a generation.

However, although IE has no way to participate in the battle for the popularity of the browser, IE has never conceded defeat in the battle for the popularity of the hacked meme. You see, even the farewell notice issued by Edge for IE did not forget to "black" again!
