Cloud native is a very important technical theme of this Microsoft Build 2022. Microsoft talked about many application scenarios based on cloud native. Microsoft engineer Ao Xiaojian shared some content of Dapr in the live broadcast, including basic knowledge, application scenarios, some related RoadMaps and some new functions waiting to be released.
Dapr is very important as the last mile to get through the cloud native scene. Both Azure Container Apps and Azure Kubernetes Service can be connected as middleware through Dapr. Dapr not only solves the communication problem between microservices, but more importantly, builds event-driven microservices through Dapr, so that you can use loose Coupling and building cloud-native solutions in multiple languages. In addition to Dapr mentioned by Mr. Ao, Microsoft Build has also released a number of new functions and updates in cloud-native technologies, such as Azure Arc, which can be used to build intelligent applications in hybrid and multi-cloud environments, as well as embedded edge-based Kubernetes - Project Haven, and integration with low-code, etc.

MAUI is a very important part of .NET 6, allowing you to develop cross-platform (iOS, Android, Windows, macOS, Linux (community support)) applications through C# and Visual Studio. .NET developers have been waiting for the official release of MAUI. Microsoft's most valuable expert Zhang Shanyou is looking forward to making big moves in this year's Build. Sure enough, the day before Microsoft Build 2022 started, MAUI was officially released. Accompanying this is the Visual Studio 2022 (17.3) Preview Update (Windows / macOS) optimized for MAUI, which supports MAUI development not only on Windows but also on macOS. Now MAUI not only supports the development of native applications, but also supports Blazor hybrid development. I don't know if the .NET developers have updated it for the first time. In addition to MAUI, Mr. Shanyou also mentioned the native capabilities of .NET cloud, which is very important to combine with Mr. Ao's Dapr.
We all know Zhang Shanyou's .NET, Dapr's practical experience is very rich, it can be said that Dapr not only gets through the last mile of cloud native, but more importantly, Dapr gives developers another reason to choose .NET in cloud native applications. Mr. Zhang Shanyou also talked about the application of some new application scenarios on .NET, such as WASI, Minimal API, etc., as well as the new features of .NET 7 Preview 4, all of which Microsoft has detailed in the Microsoft Build 2022 sub-venue. Introduction.

Bit Bear recommends:

After the concept of Metaverse was proposed, it has been attracting attention. Although this Microsoft Build 2022 did not focus on the release of Metaverse, it also spent some space talking about Azure Mesh, especially the application scenarios of Mesh for Teams. We can see that enterprise applications have begun to inject into Metaverse, not only changing our traditional communication methods, but also playing a very important role in our traditional industries. Microsoft's most valuable expert, Zhu Yiting, has a lot of experience in AR / VR / MR. She is a professional when it comes to the development of Metaverse in China and some application scenarios in China. Speaking of how to make good use of the universe, there is also a discussion on Microsoft Build 2022. Microsoft also talked about the related content from the edge to the Metaverse universe, so that everyone can understand how to integrate IoT related resources to help the Metaverse scene.

Security is a must for digital transformation. Mr. Hui Li, a Microsoft 365 expert, emphasized the importance of Defender Security Suite. From simple password protection to big data protection are explained in great detail. At Microsoft Build 2022, there's a lot going on for security. Although there is no major release, it actually extends security across multiple scenarios - entire code management, digital governance, AI data protection, and cloud-native scenarios. Microsoft has a very important feature set for security protection on GitHub. There is also data protection for artificial intelligence, Microsoft proposes responsible AI. In the digital age, without security, there is nothing, so attention to security is essential.

Low-code/zero-code is now a very important part of the digital transformation of enterprises. According to statistics, more than 270 million people stay productive and active in a mixed work environment. Quickly build powerful apps, bots, and flows with a single, integrated development stack that seamlessly mixes low-code and professional-code with the Power Platform. With the development of technology, the realization of the vision that everyone can program is accelerated. Teacher Qing Yi pointed out that the key to pass low code/zero code is to open up the data link. At Microsoft Build 2022, Microsoft released the Microsoft Smart Data Platform. Developers can use the Power Platform to connect data scenarios on the Microsoft Smart Data Platform through low-code. Microsoft's low-code/zero-code efforts are also reflected in product integration. We can see the release of Power Pages. Through Power Pages, business personnel can quickly build websites and adapt to mobile terminals. But what is even more powerful is that if you want more professional page production, you can get through with Visual Studio and GitHub. This is also a good answer to the low-code/zero-code era not replacing developers, but making developers more professional. Many companies now use Teams as a hybrid office tool, and Microsoft has officially released the Teams development kit. Now Teams can create collaborative applications for hybrid office together with Power Platform, Microsoft 365, and Azure in a low-code way.

Since Ignite released Azure OpenAI Service, many people have asked how to use it? In what application scenario is it used? Duan Qinghua also talked about his views on the application of OpenAI in artificial intelligence in the live broadcast room of BitBear, and also introduced the application scenarios in addition to Copilot. In this Microsoft Build 2022, Microsoft has made a lot of introductions to the application scenarios of OpenAI. We can see that GitHub Copilot has made coding more efficient for developers. Microsoft combined OpenAI's Codex model to make improvements, allowing Copilot to run on any scene. For example, 3D modeling of Maya is generated by Copilot. There is also the use of GPT-3 to complete communication summaries for customer service scenarios. These application scenarios can inspire the next OpenAI Service application. Microsoft's OpenAI Service has been open to enterprise users to apply, of course, we are looking forward to the full opening as soon as possible. In addition to the OpenAI content, Microsoft has also enhanced the capabilities of Azure ML and released the Azure ML CLI (V2), allowing developers to better manage ML projects with MLOps. And enhanced integration of Cognitive Services and low-code scenarios, such as the integration of Power Virtual Agent and Azure Bot Framework Composer, makes it easier for professional developers and business experts to collaborate on a more professional conversational style in a Microsoft Intelligent Robot Studio artificial intelligence applications.

CA story

BitBear : Through the interpretation of Mr. Lu and the guests, have you grasped the key points of the Build conference? Through the live broadcast of [Bit Bear Story Collection], Bit Bear wants to talk about CA stories! First of all, what everyone is more concerned about is what is CA?

Lu Jianhui : CA is actually the abbreviation of cloud technology evangelist - Cloud Advocate, in order to let more people, such as developers, enterprises, communities, students / G era understand Microsoft technology and products, so as to have a more efficient use experience. Microsoft has many evangelists around the world with their own expertise, such as Henk, the founder of the Global AI Boot Camp, and Amy, who have made great achievements in the field of artificial intelligence. There are also names like Paul in the IoT field and Rory in the Java field that Chinese developers often hear. In China, I am the only CA at present. You can search my name Kinfey Lo, or follow MS Reactor to find my latest sharing.

You may see CA in technical conferences, live broadcasts and videos of some technical sharing, or technical articles such as technical blogs, Microsoft Docs, and Microsoft Learn. We are also often involved in open source projects.

BitBear : Mr. Lu should be a "young" CA, tell us about the experience of becoming a CA from a first perspective!

Lu Jianhui : I will join Microsoft in 2021 as a cloud technology evangelist. I can share technology directly at work through a developer-oriented platform like MSReactor. I will also participate in community activities such as open source annual meeting, DOTNET Conf, Pycon, etc. that can gather technology enthusiasts and have the opportunity to communicate in depth. I also have a CA hands-on training camp, everyone pays attention to my GitHub - Kinfey can find my HandsOnLab Repo and you can follow the learning manual I made to learn different technologies.

I feel that after working for more than a year, what I feel is very valuable is that I can help others through what I am good at. Microsoft has a project called "Weiguang Project", through NetEase Cloud Classroom, some new technology classes are given to disabled people to help them find employment. The launch of this course has also allowed me to see more replies and messages from people. It is very touching and meaningful to see that they can learn through this kind of public welfare course, strengthen their skills, and help their work and life!

BitBear: Although he has not been a CA for a long time, Mr. Lu has done a lot of things. In the eyes of BitBear, Mr. Lu is so versatile! Teacher Lu, please tell me what you are good at and what you like about the work!

Jianhui Lu: From a technical point of view, I personally prefer cloud native, artificial intelligence, and cross-platform mobile application development. I think if I knew and knew me from the Microsoft tech community, it probably started when I shared .NET mobile development in 2012-2013. It was not called Xamarin at the time, it was called MonoToch and MonoDroid, and it was developed in C# for iOS/Android. Of course, with the changes of the times, the technology is also changing. I am more concerned about artificial intelligence-related technologies. Recently, I have been doing some interesting things with several AI CAs. a bit. In terms of work content, I like blogging if I am free to choose. Because sharing is also a kind of sorting and summary, I think it is quite interesting to use a blog to record the process of a person's growth.

BitBear : I know that Mr. Lu has been associated with Microsoft for a long time. He has known many technical experts and introduced them to BitBear and everyone. Please share your experience with Mr. Lu. I believe many friends are as curious as me.

Jianhui Lu : Before becoming a CA, I was a Microsoft MVP for 10 years. I am actually a "teacher". I used to do research and development work in college. As a post-80s generation, I started programming very early. The best software company in my heart is Microsoft, so I have always wanted to join Microsoft. In the experience of Microsoft MVP, I also made a lot of very powerful and like-minded friends. We often communicated and communicated with Microsoft's project team and product team. Here to add that many of my CA colleagues are Microsoft MVPs. I got to know each other at the MVP summit and interacted at many events. We became good friends, so I joined Microsoft as a CA, and I found out that it was the MVP's alumni reunion.

From entering to Microsoft, I feel very good, and the communication and exchange in the internal organization have given me the opportunity to directly contact the great God in my mind. Like I had a chance to meet with Scott Hunter to talk about Visual Studio for Mac, and I had a chance to email Migel. These are exhilarating experiences. My colleagues come from all over the world. From them, I have also learned different techniques and communication methods. It is a very happy and valuable experience for me!

Bit Bear : Finally, Bit Bear would like to ask Mr. Lu to share his work and life experience generously!

Lu Jianhui : First of all, technology and products are constantly changing. From the perspective of technology selection, I advocate changing and adapting. I give an example like. NET, its changes also change with the times and with the changes of application scenarios. This year is the 20th anniversary of .NET. When I was doing the content of the event, I also thought about it myself. From the first contact with .NET to the present, the changes in .NET are basically every year. In addition to C# syntax, architecture, and application scenarios have been improved a lot.

Then the industry trend, which depends on the environment in which the individual or enterprise is located. If you are an entrepreneurial team or the Internet, it is important to cater to the market. If it is a traditional industry, you can seek stability. Just like I think low-code is a hot trend in the next 10 years, and it is an opportunity for many developers and industries. But how to use it well, we must grasp it well. I posted a low-code article before, and some developers feel that low-code can only do some basic work. But if it's a design that everyone can program, it's a start. Low-code is not to replace developers, it is to allow some people without programming ability to better apply technology. For many companies, how to deploy low-code and how to do digital transformation is also worth thinking about. Again, opportunity and crisis are equal.

Finally, think about life. In this day and age, it is impossible to just look at a technology or only understand which part you are good at. I think people need to expand their cognitive horizons. So I have a habit of giving myself 2 hours a day to learn about different industry news. I will spend time reading Info Q, I will also go to Windows Center and 9to5 series of articles. There are also some big cows on Twitter to see what they have posted, which is also a good learning process. In addition, I will use Saturday to write some small applications with new technologies, such as WASI that everyone is talking about now. In fact, I have been writing some small demos for the past two months, and I have mastered some new technologies and content from them.

Of course I also have non-"technical" moments. I grew up in Guangdong, and watching the Premier League is a habit I have cultivated since I was a child. I basically set aside time at 10 pm on weekends to watch football games and support my favorite team. When I have a chance, I must go to London to see it live!
