There are many exciting opportunities to develop apps on the Android platform: you can start a new career, express yourself in a fun way, create a different app, or even start an entrepreneurial journey.
At Google, we're committed to increasing the opportunities for people to learn Android development, so that more people can experience the joy of Android development. To further this goal, we're releasing the first two chapters of the Compose Development Fundamentals for Android course, the first free Chinese course for Android development with Jetpack Compose for everyone!
Compose simplifies and improves the productivity of Android interface development, allowing developers to quickly build and use applications with less code, powerful tools, and an intuitive Kotlin API. If you're interested in building native interfaces using the latest Android development methods, this course is a great place to start!
Like the Android Development with Kotlin course, the Compose Development Fundamentals for Android course will cover the basics of Kotlin. You don't need any programming experience other than basic computer knowledge to get started. Not only does this course cover the latest Android app building techniques, but to make learning Android easier and more fun for you, we designed the course with feedback from many previous Android development course learners, instructors, and designers.
The learning path of this course not only includes the teaching of programming fundamentals and the Kotlin programming language, but also adds some additional development content. If you are already familiar with the Kotlin programming language or have similar programming experience, you can choose to skip the previous lessons and focus on learning how to use Jetpack Compose for Android development.
Compose Development Fundamentals for Android and Android Development with Kotlin are our latest Android training courses, and although they have a similar structure and many of the same sample apps, the difference lies in the use of a different interface toolkit write. This makes it easy for you to understand, compare, master the differences between View and Compose, or even take both courses at the same time.
The course introduces new content formats such as: coding instruction videos in Codelab, more practice questions to get you started, and open-ended projects that unleash your creativity. These two course chapters are just the beginning, and more related courses are coming soon. stay tuned!
