Halfway through 2022 in a blink of an eye, it's time for the mid-year summary. The first half of the year can be summarized as paying attention to company layoffs, waiting for year-end bonuses, preparing for professional promotions, waiting to talk about salary increases, relocation projects, and working from home due to the epidemic. Let's talk about it one by one~

layoffs

Since the end of last year, major companies have started layoffs, some publicly (like the education industry), and some silently. Of course, our company cannot afford to be left behind in this kind of thing. Before, I saw that other departments were laying off employees in the pulse, and slowly it was our department's turn. Basically, every role in the team has a quota. Don't leave any of them in front-end, back-end, data, and products. Our group also went with one or two friends. Other groups have also dragged on and haven't left yet. If the company generously compensates the compensation, it is estimated that everyone will not be exhausted until this time.

The whole environment is not good, and that's the same thing. As a small employee, the only thing you can grasp is to take precautions and improve your soft power and technical ability. When it is your turn, you will not panic and feel uncertain.

Year-end awards

The year-end bonus that was supposed to be issued in January was postponed to March. In order to compensate for the extra half a month's salary in January. This year, it can be seen that various industries are in a downturn. Some companies have cancelled their year-end bonuses. We just postponed the issuance. So, should I thank the company for this?

Year-end bonuses are linked to performance. The coefficient of students with good performance is very high, but the coefficient is something that can be met but not sought after. Do your job well and be happy with the results that meet your expectations. If it does not meet expectations, first find the reason from yourself, and then complain about it.

promotion

The spring promotion is a big window once a year, and in the fall, only the director's nomination can apply. So many people apply in the spring. Since March, I have been preparing materials and writing PPT, and I have been tossing for a long time.

When preparing the materials, I found that the usual project accumulation, the documentation of problems encountered, the flow chart of the project design, and other things that can form written documents, are particularly useful at this time. Words are useless, you need to use materials to prove that you really did something and really have your own thinking. With these, and then extract the essence from it to form a PPT, and then explain them clearly, the efforts that you can do are almost the same.

Whether the results are good or bad, your own efforts, your leadership, your competitors, whether there are people you know well among the judges, passing percentages, etc. all play a key role.

The purpose of promotion is not only to get everyone's approval, but the most important thing is actually to increase the salary. It's ridiculous that some companies are not linked to promotion and salary increase. Although the general environment is not good, the salary increase may not be as high as before, but the results are within expectations, and it is better than nothing.

project

In last year's year-end summary , it was mentioned that the projects that were done well before would stop iterating and should be migrated to another project as a whole. This has been basically done in the first half of this year.

At the beginning of the year, we planned well. We used vue3 and TS , but the plan could not keep up with the changes. Under constant deadline pressure from all parties, we almost shifted the entire project. The iteration cycle of the entire project is also very chaotic. It is not a formal step-by-step development. Many new students start to migrate without knowing what the specific needs are or how to use this function.

Migration and migration are still those things. There are not many new functions, and the UI style has not been redesigned. It is based on the existing component library. It is a thankless project without seeing the actual output above.

I really want the project to be back on track, a virtuous cycle from product solution review, UE review, UI review, development, joint debugging, testing, bug fixing to final launch.

Fortunately, the migration project is coming to an end. However, it is uncertain whether there will be any further new requirements after the migration. Maybe there will be nothing to do after the migration, who knows.

epidemic

I really don't know when the epidemic will end. In the first half of the year, I worked from home twice due to the epidemic. One was because I went to the county where I have confirmed medical records; the other was because I was a member of the Chaoyang community, and basically I worked from home throughout May. Making nucleic acids has also become routine. Working from home felt very good at first, saving the time of commuting to and from get off work, but after a long time, I still miss the days of going to the company. Working from home also requires writing a daily newspaper every day. But it is very convenient to play a cat, it will accompany you in front of the computer.

write at the end

Hope the layoffs end soon. Hope the epidemic will end soon. Hope we can all travel freely. Hope the country is safe. I hope that when I write a year-end summary at the end of the year, everything I hope will be realized.
