Compared with overseas, domestic open source projects started later. However, in recent years, as major companies continue to open source key projects, many Internet companies have begun to join the ranks of open source, making the domestic open source atmosphere gradually hot, and the investment and financing industry's pursuit of open source is also evident. GitHub added 1.03 million Chinese developers in 2021, bringing the total to 7.55 million. Today, Chinese developers have become the second largest developer group.

China is under the open source boom, but how to grasp the development trend of open source and meet future challenges has become a "required course" for enterprises, open source organizations and developers. As the fastest graduating top-level project of the Apache Foundation, Apache APISIX continues to move forward on the road of open source.

Apache APISIX is a dynamic, real-time, high-performance open source API gateway that provides rich traffic management functions such as load balancing, dynamic upstream, grayscale publishing, service interruption, identity authentication, and observability.

As an API gateway, Apache APISIX can help enterprises process API and microservice traffic quickly and securely, and can be used in scenarios such as gateways, Kubernetes Ingress, and service meshes. At present, it has been tested by professional network security institutions such as PricewaterhouseCoopers Data Security Team, Tencent Blue Army, Ping An Galaxy Lab, iQiyi SRC and Yuanbao Technology Security Team, and has been highly recognized.

From code to community, Apache APISIX has been continuously exploring on the road of open source, maintaining regular product maintenance and updates, and constantly building a richer ecosystem. In the community, developers are also encouraged to find hobbies from the contribution process, so as to truly realize the community and developers moving forward side by side on the open source road.

In order to further share with more developers on hot topics such as open source, cloud native, API gateway, etc., Apache APISIX will open an offline Meetup in Nanjing on July 30, inviting senior developers from Yunman and the Apache APISIX community We share the technical frontiers of Apache APISIX and practical cases in different usage scenarios on Meetup. A workshop session was specially set up at the scene to experience APISIX with many open source enthusiasts at close range. Open source enthusiasts, developers of the Internet and various industries are welcome to actively participate.
