Entering the era of digital economy, the important value of the open source model has become increasingly prominent, and it has become the infrastructure and base of the digital economy. In the first half of this year, software and information services achieved an added value of 383.20 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 9.4%, accounting for 19.8% of the city's GDP, ranking first in both growth rate and proportion. The contribution of software to Beijing's economic development is increasing. Beijing actively promotes the development of the open source industry. More than half of the domestic open source native enterprises were born in Beijing, covering basic frontier fields such as databases, operating systems, big data, and artificial intelligence. The only open source foundation in China, the Open Atom Open Source Foundation, will also be established in Beijing in 2020. In the process of investigating enterprises, Secretary Cai Qi pointed out that we must insist on leading innovation with openness, accelerate the construction of an international open source community with Beijing as the core, and build an open source software base. Beijing will give full play to the leading role of the foundation in the open source ecosystem and take multiple measures to make Beijing a highland of China's open source industry.
