On July 19, the press conference of the "Digital "Chain" Greater Bay Area - Report on the Integrated Development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (2022)" hosted by the China (Shenzhen) Comprehensive Development Research Institute was held in Shenzhen.
The report proposes that digital technologies represented by blockchain can play an important role in breaking the ice of institutional differences in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, supporting the leap-forward of the real economy, and empowering innovation in social governance, and can effectively boost the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. Integrated development has entered a new era of 2.0. The report shows the role and contribution of blockchain in the construction of digital economy, digital society and digital government with rich practical cases of blockchain application scenarios.

At the press conference, Peng Haibin, Deputy Director of the Standing Committee of the Shenzhen Municipal People's Congress and Chairman of the Municipal Federation of Trade Unions, gave an opening speech; Fan Gang, a famous economist and President of the China (Shenzhen) Comprehensive Development Research Institute, published "Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and Fintech Development" Keynote speech; Liu Guohong, Assistant to the Dean of China (Shenzhen) Comprehensive Development Research Institute, released the "Digital "Chain" Greater Bay Area - Blockchain Boosts the Integrated Development Report of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (2022)"; Harbin Institute of Technology (Shenzhen) Tang Jie, professor of the School of Economics and Management and former deputy mayor of Shenzhen, Liu Chuanyi, executive dean of the Data Security Research Institute of Harbin Institute of Technology (Shenzhen) and professor of the School of Computer Science and Technology made in-depth comments on the report respectively; Vice President and Chief Information Officer of WeBank Guan Ma Zhitao, Assistant General Manager Gu Qingshan of Shenzhen OneConnect Smart Technology Co., Ltd., and Pang Chuan, Vice President of Macau University of Science and Technology and Member of the Legislative Assembly of Macau, gave wonderful keynote speeches respectively as representatives of industry practice and academia.
As a highlight, the report cited a large number of application cases based on FISCO BCOS and implemented in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. Cases such as “Pearl River Delta Credit Information Chain” and “Shenzhen Securities Financial Blockchain Platform Capital BCOS” were selected; in terms of digital society construction, “Certificate for Smart City Construction in Macau”, “Guangdong-Macao Health Code Cross-border Mutual Recognition” , "Tencent 99 Public Welfare Day" and other cases were selected; in terms of promoting the construction of digital government with blockchain, "Internet lending institutions' benign exit voting platform", "Blockchain judicial certificate deposit and arbitration service platform", "Shenzhen Water Group Construction Site Safety Management" System”, “Smart Judicial Blockchain Trace System” and other cases were selected.
At present, the open source alliance chain ecosystem established around FISCO BCOS has gathered more than 3,000 institutions and enterprises, and more than 70,000 individual members, and successfully supported hundreds of blocks in various industries such as finance, medical care, justice, agriculture, and manufacturing. The chain application has been implemented, and there are more than 200 benchmark applications supporting industrial digitalization.
