With the continuous upgrading of digital transformation in all walks of life and the rapid development of IoT technology, it has become a technology for more and more industry enterprises to realize scenario-centric edge-to-cloud solutions to meet industry-specific business challenges choose.
As a cloud platform that supports the integration of applications in different ways to meet various development needs such as hosting, on-premises scaling, container-based modernization, and serverless, Azure provides a very complete IoT solution that can help us achieve Connectivity, analytics and automation from the edge to the cloud. Combined with edge devices, we can complete "cloud + edge" solutions in different industries, thereby promoting digital transformation and meeting our actual business needs.
In order to help more developers practice "cloud + edge" IoT solutions, Microsoft Azure and NVIDIA enterprise developer community jointly launched a series of special events "Microsoft Azure IoT & NVIDIA Developer Season" , combining Microsoft Azure and NVIDIA Jetson—— The embedded system suitable for the new generation of autonomous machines helps developers to get started with IoT and practice IoT solutions through four themes: basics of entry, computer vision, natural language processing, and driverless driving. This series of special activities will be carried out in the form of "online theme sharing in the morning + online hands-on experiment in the afternoon" in each season. A number of experts with rich experience in IoT solutions will share IoT practical application scenarios and successful technical cases online; at the same time, we will also support hundreds of developers to practice online and complete IoT-related applications under the guidance of expert mentors Hands-on practice of scenarios.

*NVIDIA will provide 100 Jetson computing nodes for this series of events for developers to practice online

In the first season of the "Microsoft Azure IoT & NVIDIA Developer Season" series of special events, we will first learn the basics of Azure IoT and NVIDIA Jetson development, and prepare for the subsequent application practice. The event will be broadcast live online.
In the morning, we will invite three expert lecturers from Microsoft and NVIDIA with rich enterprise-level IoT experience to share with us the application scenarios and solutions of Azure IoT and Jetson Nano.
In the afternoon, He Kun, Senior Manager of NVIDIA Enterprise Developer Community, and Lu Jianhui, two teachers of Microsoft Cloud Advocate, will also guide online developers online to complete "Introduction to NVIDIA Jetson Nano" and "Build a Simple Jetson Nano + Azure" A Hands-On Experiment with Mask Identification Solutions".

▌How to participate in hands-on experiments

Follow the official account MSReactor and reply to IoT to join the event exchange group. We will allocate machines to developers who join the group to participate in the online hands-on experiment to complete the hands-on experiment on the day of the event.
(Due to the limited number of machines, this activity only supports 100 developers to practice online at the same time. If you have Jetson Nano or Jetson NX series equipment, please install the environment and join the group to interact with the lecturer during the experiment)

2. Google Chrome / Microsoft Edge and Visual Studio Code need to be installed locally
3. Python 3.7+ needs to be installed locally
4. Please apply for free Azure resources before participating in the hands-on lab:
If you are a student or teacher, you can apply for free Azure resources with your edu email
If you are a developer or entrepreneur, apply for free Azure resources
5. Small partners with Jetson Nano or Jetson NX series equipment are welcome to participate. If there is no equipment, you can refer to the participation method and join the group to obtain the experimental environment
