The OBCP V3 certification upgrade has added "Online Lab Exam" content, and the original "Offline Test Center Written Exam" link has been retained and upgraded. I am engaged in database-related technical support work in Alibaba Cloud GTS. With the increasing popularity of the OceanBase database, I have dealt with the OceanBase database more and more. I learned that the OBCP certification has a version update recently, so I want to take the OBCP V3 certification test. , but my goal is not only to get a certificate, but more to systematically understand the architecture of OceanBase during the exam, so as to make my knowledge more structured and systematic, which is very important to me .

Q2: What are the changes in the OBCP V3 certification compared to the previous exam?

I have passed the V2 version certification before. Compared with the previous V2 version, I feel that the V3 version of the exam is more complete. The experimental exam part has been added to examine the practical operation ability of the candidates, from installation and deployment to daily operation and maintenance.

Compared with the previous part of the written test, the test format has not changed much, but a lot of knowledge test sites related to OceanBase 3.0 have been updated, and the inspection of knowledge points has been more detailed.

Q3: You are the first candidate to pass the OBCP V3 certification, what are your thoughts on the newly added lab exam?

I believe that everyone has heard of Oracle's OCP certification more or less. Before I started working, I took this certificate because of my reputation. During the preparation for the exam, I firmly memorized 1100 English test questions. In retrospect, the test is a mechanical memory, Or the process of graphic memory, for me, there is no growth in database technology itself, which is why the gold content of OCP is getting lower and lower.

Therefore, I understand and agree with the original intention of adding the experimental exam part to the OBCP V3 certification. This is a very effective supplement to the written exam. It has certain requirements for the practical ability of the candidates, and at the same time increases the difficulty of the exam. Candidates with mechanical memory can improve the quality of OBCP certification. After all, there will be experimental exams in Oracle's most advanced exam certification, OCM.
