Ren Jinkui, head of Alibaba Cloud Intelligent Wuying R&D, delivered a keynote speech "Breakthrough in Wuying's Core Technology Capabilities" at the Wuying Product Technology and Practice sub-forum, and made an in-depth interpretation of the core technical capabilities behind the Wuying architecture cloud-network integration experience , and shared what breakthroughs Wuying has achieved on the long march of technology. The following is a summary of his speech.

Since its inception, Wuying has aimed to create a cloud-native computing power product that integrates cloud, network, and terminal, to give full play to the advantages of cloud, especially public cloud, to provide enterprises and individual users with secure office, flexible employment, etc. Scenarios provide more efficient and convenient solutions to help enterprises accelerate digital transformation and upgrade, improve efficiency and optimize management.

As a cloud-native computing power product, Wuying effectively solves the shortcomings of traditional VDI solutions, and at the same time meets the new demands for terminal computing power in the cloud-native era. On the one hand, traditional VDI based on private cloud and proprietary cloud partially solves the customer's data security and operation and maintenance pain points, but faces inconvenient access, low operation and maintenance timeliness, high cost of expansion and contraction, large initial investment, product A series of problems such as slow iterative upgrade speed.

More importantly, in the cloud-native era, the market has put forward new demands for terminal computing power. The epidemic has changed the traditional office methods of enterprises, and telecommuting is becoming more and more common; the demand for mobile office anytime, anywhere and multiple terminal access is becoming more and more abundant; the scenarios of remote collaboration and multi-person collaboration are becoming more and more diverse; flexible employment, tide demand more and more high frequency. Above these scenarios, it is more like to solve four types of problems: how to achieve large-scale delivery? How can the data be transmitted in high quality? How about the various equipment and peripherals of the office terminal? How to achieve more fine-grained elasticity?

From the perspective of the evolution and evolution of productivity tools in the cloud era, Wuying, born of the cloud, uses technological innovation to break through the difficulties brought by the above four problems to enterprise cloud innovation.

After continuous polishing, Wuying has the ability to deliver on a large scale . It can create 5000 sessions in 10 minutes. The shadowless integrated architecture can support desktop creation at the minute level, desktop connection at the second level, batch creation and destruction with high concurrency, high SLA, and access capability in all regions.

In terms of device-cloud data transmission , Wuying has developed a low-latency, narrow-bandwidth, and high-quality ASP protocol . The bandwidth of the ASP protocol silent scene is close to zero, the bandwidth of the ordinary office scene is as low as 20kbps, the end-to-end delay is as low as 48ms, the 50db text high-definition lossless picture quality, the picture and video picture quality are adaptive, and the audio and video call sound quality MOS score is greater than 4.0.

In terms of device/peripheral support , Wuying has created a software-hardware integrated and deeply optimized cloud peripheral compatibility solution , which is fully compatible with mainstream peripheral types and mainstream peripheral manufacturers' equipment models. Through the full support of mainstream device redirection and the optimization of USB redirection, the device response delay is reduced to less than 50%. Through distributed online labs, automated authentication is supported, and an efficient device authentication mechanism is built for remote collaborative processing of compatibility issues during the authentication process. In terms of multi-platform capabilities, the cloud side supports common cloud desktops/multi-session cloud desktops/cloud applications, and the terminal side supports Windows&Mac&Linux soft terminals/mobile terminals and self-developed terminals such as zero terminals/notebooks. It truly realizes the integration of cloud, network and terminal.

In terms of elasticity , Wuying has launched cloud applications and application cloud environments , realizing the ultimate elasticity of application granularity. Through technologies such as pooling and sandboxing, it can realize application-insensitive in-/out-of-cluster migration in seconds, and cross-regional in minutes. The migration has achieved flexible and efficient elastic scaling and dynamic scheduling of 10,000-level users under the scale of a single pool of 5,000 channels. The application is click-to-use, the startup time on the application cloud is shorter than the local startup time, and the virtualization technology can cover 90% of Windows, Linux, and Android applications.

In the future, Wuying will adhere to the long march of technology, continue to deepen its cultivation, make more new breakthroughs, and make advanced productivity within easy reach with the new experience of cloud-network integration.
