Invitation | How does blockchain help public welfare? Experts from Tencent, Shenzhen University and Weizhong Gathered in ESG Seminar Series

September 5 is the seventh "China Charity Day" in my country. As one of the largest public welfare festivals in the world, Tencent 99 Public Welfare Day in 2022 has also been officially launched. Among them, Tencent Public Welfare is based on Tencent's security blockchain, and has combined enterprises, industry associations, and regulatory authorities to create a public welfare credit alliance chain, which is supported by open source technology from Wezhong blockchain.

For public welfare undertakings, the whereabouts of donations, information transparency and effective supervision are inescapable topics. They determine the public's trust in public welfare undertakings and also affect the sustainable development of public welfare undertakings. With the characteristics of non-tampering and traceability, blockchain can help public welfare project information to be open and transparent, and establish a trust mechanism for public welfare undertakings.

This seminar is the third of the series of ESG seminars of "'Chain' to Build Sustainability". We will focus on "Blockchain + Public Welfare", and invite practical pioneers, experts and scholars from Tencent, Shenzhen University and WeBank. Jointly discuss the role and contribution of blockchain in the field of charity and public welfare.
