PrivacyIN Privacy Institution (Privacy Institution) is committed to building an open cryptography and privacy technology evangelism and research community, and unites the world's top scholars and privacy technology developers to promote ZK (zero knowledge proof), MPC (secure multi-party computing), FHE (full The innovation and implementation of homomorphic cryptography).

In order to promote the innovation and implementation of privacy in the next generation of multi-party computing scenarios, PrivacyIN Privacy Academy plans to carry out technical training, research community and project innovation incubation around modern cryptography technology. In this way, the threshold for the application of developers' theoretical protocols is lowered, the engineering innovation ability of cryptographic researchers is improved, and an open cryptographic privacy technology community is jointly maintained.

Registration for PrivacyIN's second training camp is open!

TSS (Threshold Signature Scheme) is an important research direction of MPC (Secure Multi-Party Computation) key management, which can support multi-party management of private keys and assets. Compared with Multi Sign, it has more significant advantages in terms of security and cost.

LatticeX, the initiator of PrivacyIN Privacy Academy, has a deep research background in this field. The Open TSS project initiated by LatticeX is building an open TSS protocol research and engineering innovation community. Open TSS is currently cooperating with Northwestern University, Nanyang Technological University, the University of Hong Kong and many other well-known universities in the field of MPC research. Based on the self-published papers of the cryptography summit, it has accumulated solid technical strength, engineering capabilities and privacy. The computing ecological community has open sourced Open TSS related codes, and supports the innovative implementation of multiple MPC wallets in the industry, providing ecological empowerment capabilities.

This course will focus on TSS and bring high-quality, high-density, practice-oriented high-quality courses to students.

Class time:

This course will strictly select 20 students for small-class tutoring. The requirements of the students are expected to be as follows:

  • Invest at least 10 hours per week
  • Familiar with basic cryptographic protocols, or proficient in programming languages such as Rust, Golang, Solidity, etc.
  • Complete preparation tasks before class, including classic paper reading and engineering project research
  • Complete the submission of code assignments after each lesson

The training camp course content has been polished for a long time and is developer-friendly. The entire training camp is completely free. Students who successfully graduate will receive diversified incentives provided by PrivacyIN to help every developer learn MPC, understand TSS, and have their own projects. If your project has potential, you can get Priizes and Grants incubation funding to take your project further.

Refinement course TSS training camp course details look ahead

The content of the second privacy developer course of PrivacyIN is positioned in the introduction of MPC theoretical development and the practice of TSS engineering development. The main course content:

  • Overview of MPC-mainly introduces the cryptographic foundation and development of secure multi-party computation (MPC)
  • Overview of TSS-The Historical Progress and Research Development Direction of Threshold Signature (TSS) Protocol
  • Best Practices of TSS Industrial Applications - Best Practices of Threshold Signatures in Web3 Applications such as Decentralized Wallets and Hosting
  • Open TSS Hands-on-Open TSS open source framework hands-on training

Strong teachers training camp teacher team open

This TSS training camp is led by Professor Wang Xiao, Professor Xue Haiyang, and Kyle Song, Chief Product Officer of LatticeX.

Xiao Wang is currently an assistant professor in the Department of Computer Science at Northwestern University. After his Ph.D. from the University of Maryland, he worked as a postdoctoral fellow at MIT and Boston University, covering computer security, privacy, and cryptography. His current research interests include practical secure multi-party computation, zero-knowledge proofs, inadvertent random access machines (ORAM), and post-quantum cryptography. In 2017, Wang Xiao won the ACM CCS Best Paper Award.

Xue Haiyang is a research assistant professor at the School of Fintech and the Department of Computer Science at the University of Hong Kong. Before that, he was a researcher in IIE cryptography of the Chinese Academy of Sciences.

Kyle Song is currently responsible for the product strategy and technical ecology of the LatticeX Foundation, and promotes the innovation and implementation of cryptographic privacy computing in the industry. Before that, he was a founding member of Google Blockchain CoE, and led the OKCoin public chain research team to promote the innovation of the public chain in the field of fragmentation expansion and privacy. Long-term focus and research on cross-application and innovation in the fields of cryptography, blockchain and cloud computing.

The three teachers will offer a rich, practical and full of practical courses for participating developers.
