Guided by the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology (hereinafter referred to as China Academy of Information and Communications Technology) and the High Performance Computing Professional Committee of the China Computer Society, jointly sponsored by the Cloud Computing Open Source Industry Alliance and ACM China High Performance Computing Expert Committee (ACMSIGHPC), supported by Amazon Cloud Technology and Tencent Cloud , Alibaba Cloud, Huawei Cloud, Ucloud, Tianyi Cloud and other vendors will participate in the 2021 Global High-Performance Cloud Computing Innovation Competition (hereinafter referred to as the 2021 MAXP Competition), which will be launched on September 15th! The competition aims to further promote the development of domestic high-performance computing, promote the continuous optimization and upgrading of the quality of cloud service providers' products and services, and encourage and attract more practitioners and scientific researchers to devote themselves to the application and innovation of high-performance cloud computing.

This MAXP competition invites Zheng Weimin, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, Yu Xiaohui, dean of the Chinese Academy of Information and Communications Technology, and Qi Fengbin, director of the High Commissioner of the Chinese Computer Society, as the instructor of the competition. The competition set up three different tracks, innovation competition, performance competition, and proposition competition, which set up a huge stage for participants from scientific research institutions, enterprises and institutions, and cloud vendors to compete.

Innovation Competition

Participants are free to submit solutions on topics such as machine learning, scientific computing, or large-scale simulation. After the initial review of the innovation and feasibility of the solutions, they can obtain free cloud computing resources for deployment and implementation.

Performance Race

Mainly for cloud vendors/hardware service providers, different directions are set for cloud host performance, large-scale virtual machine cluster performance, large-scale container cluster performance, heterogeneous computing host performance, high-performance computing platform performance, etc. Participating units can follow the trusted cloud The performance test method self-test and submit the results. Currently participating units include more than ten units including Amazon Cloud Technology, Tencent Cloud, Alibaba Cloud, Huawei Cloud, Ucloud, Inspur Cloud, Tianyi Cloud, Shanghai Pudong Development Bank, Industrial and Commercial Bank of China, New China Three, Boyun, and Beikun Cloud.
