31 companies were selected as Alibaba Cloud's first cloud-native accelerator to jointly build a new ecosystem for the cloud-native industry

On March 9, Alibaba Cloud announced that 31 companies including Kangaroo Cloud, Harmony Cloud, Black Lake Technology, and Qianyun Technology were selected as the first cloud native accelerator of Alibaba Cloud. For round C and above. The total valuation of the selected companies exceeds 33.8 billion, covering manufacturing, new retail, Internet, medical and other fields. ​​It is reported that Alibaba Cloud launched the cloud native accelerator program in 2021, dedicated to discovering and finding outstanding innovative enterprises in the cloud native field, and helping enterprises crack the growth code. In the one-year accelerated growth plan, Alibaba Cloud Cloud Native Accelerator will open up Alibaba Cloud ecosystem and business resources, provide technical and product support, link more capital and venture capital sources, and connect with accelerators through 2 times of assembly + N times of business docking. Member companies work together to create a new blueprint for cloud native.​

​From the perspective of technology, among the first batch of cloud native accelerator member companies, cloud native PaaS accounts for 55%, cloud native applications account for 32%, and cloud native basic technologies account for 13%. Among the member companies are not only unicorns, but also highly competitive companies in sub-fields such as Authing, StreamNative, vika, Xingyun Innovation, and Tongchuang Yongyi.

​From the perspective of geographical distribution, the 31 selected companies are mainly concentrated in first-tier cities: Shanghai leads with 29%, followed by Beijing with 26%, followed by Hangzhou with 23%. The diversified industrial structure of the city better promotes the development of cloud native in China.​
