Looking back at open source at the time node of 2022, it has changed from a niche enthusiast to the mainstream of the technology circle.

What remains unchanged is that open source attracts developers around the world like a gravitational force, transcending differences in nationality and language, and constantly using and contributing code around open source projects that they recognize. These contributions have reshaped our current technological landscape.

According to the "China Open Source Ten Years Insight Report", Alibaba has ranked first in the open source activity of Chinese enterprises for ten consecutive years. There are more than 3,000 open source projects in Alibaba, and more than 30,000 developers around the world have participated and received more than 1 million stars.

In the past 2021, we have achieved a lot:

• Alibaba Open Source has added 14.94 million lines of code, which is 30% of the total in the past ten years;
• There were 715 new code repositories, and the total number exceeded 3,000, accounting for 23% of the past ten years;
• The number of commits exceeded 200,000, accounting for 40% of the past ten years;
• 16,864 new active developers were added, of which 2,316 were code contributors, accounting for 35% of the total in the past ten years.

This year, Alibaba once again invites all students to participate in the summer of programming

You must be at least 18 years old and a full-time or part-time student.

Alibaba Programming Summer 2022 will be held from July 4, 2022 to August 27, 2022. You'll need to spend about 40 hours a week on Summer of Code, and if you already have an internship or summer job, measure your involvement.
