count 和 counter 的词根竟然是不一样的。

2.corruption

(1)corrupt: com-("completely") + rup-("to break")

vt. corrupt literally means "to completely break", over time, it evolves to mean "to change from good to bad"(腐败，损坏)。

(2)示例

If the cached changes do not reach the storage device before a crash occurs, more corruption is possible(《Operating System Concepts》第 586 页)。
