• JDK 25: Build 18 of early-access builds was available with updates from Build 17, including fixes for various issues. More details in release notes. Developers are encouraged to report bugs via Java Bug Database.
• Jakarta EE: Ivar Grimstad provided updates on Jakarta EE 11 and 12. Road to Jakarta EE 11 includes four milestone releases, Core Profile in December 2024, Web Profile in April 2025, and fifth milestone and first release candidate of Platform in 2Q 2025.
• Spring Framework: Seventh milestone release of Spring AI 1.0.0 has breaking changes for modular codebase. Third milestone release of Spring Cloud 2025.0.0 with bug fixes and updates to sub-projects. Spring Cloud Config versions released to address a vulnerability.
• WildFly: Release of WildFly 36 with features like support for MicroProfile 7.0, experimental launch from JBang, improvements to WildFly AI Feature Pack, and enhancements to documentation.
• Open Liberty: Version 25.0.0.4-beta of Open Liberty with support for JDK 24, file-based health check mechanism, and InstantOn support for several features.
• Hibernate: Third beta release of Hibernate Reactive 3.0.0 with additional methods and resolution to an exception. Compatible with Hibernate ORM 7.0.0-M5.
• Eclipse Vert.x: Sixth release candidate of Eclipse Vert.x 5.0.0 with support for Java Platform Module System and a new VerticleBase class. Anticipates GA release in May 2025.
• Apache Tomcat: Versions 11.0.6 and 9.0.104 with features like no longer requiring JRE for MD5 implementation, improvements to JsonErrorReportValve class, and better handling of %nn URL encoding in RewriteValve class.
• LangChain4j: Third beta release of LangChain4j 1.0.0 with support for additional return types in JSON schema and streaming/observability in Amazon Bedrocks. Breaking changes include removal of deprecated interfaces.
