亚铁系统向 Rust 项目捐赠二茂铁语言规范 - Rust 基金会

  • Rust 1.0 and its Anniversary: Rust 1.0 was published in May 2015. Approaching its 10th anniversary, it has become a fast-growing and loved language due to speed, safety, and a vibrant community.
  • Rust's Documentation: Like other open source languages, Rust has documentation and tutorials by the Rust Project. These include the official Rust book, reference, courses, and tutorials. But it lacks an official language specification.
  • RFC and Specification Work: In December 2022, an RFC was submitted to start working on a specification. It was approved in July 2023, and the Rust Project specification team began. They initially planned to create from scratch using the Rust Reference but found the FLS.
  • FLS and Ferrous Systems: The FLS is a Rust language description developed by Ferrous Systems and AdaCore. It serves as a foundation for verification and standardization. Ferrous Systems has been its steward since July 2023.
  • Integration and Stewardship Transfer: To avoid confusion, the t-spec team decided to integrate the FLS with the Rust Reference. Ferrous Systems agreed to transfer stewardship to the Rust Project. This will lead to an official Rust specification.
  • Transition and Future: There will be a transition period as the FLS is integrated. Once integrated, Ferrous Systems will rely on the Rust Project's specification. This effort will provide an official reference for others.
  • Blog and Citations: View the Rust Project's blog on this topic. Citations for various resources are provided.
