- Update: Thanks to those offering help, they spoke with Docker's Developer Relations team and fixed DSOS app issues. Despite process failures, Docker handled it quickly.
Original Text:
- Docker Hub is the default Docker registry. Linuxserver started using it, then mirrored to Gitlab and Quay.io.
- In 2020, Docker announced purging old images and pull limits for unpaid/unauthenticated users. These posts were scrubbed.
- This concerned users. Github launched GHCR. In 2021, partnered with Scarf to set up lscr.io as a frontend registry with ghcr.io as the backend.
- In 2023, Docker Hub announced sunsetting Free Team Organisations. They later decided not to go forward due to user backlash.
- Applied for and got into the DSOS program but the application process was messy and slow.
- In October 2024, preparing for DSOS renewal which was abysmal. Confirmation email said it could take a month, but a month passed with no update.
- DSOS status expired in mid-November, reverted to Free Teams status. Reached out via contact email but got no response.
- Tried to reach out twice more with no reply. Now 3 months since renewal with no communication from Docker.
- Seriously reconsidering future actions as this process is unacceptable. Have some contacts at Docker but not for account management. Will try logging a support ticket.
- Side note: If someone from Docker reads this, please provide guidance.
