- Announcement: First release of OpenVox, a community-maintained open source Puppet implementation. OpenVox 8.11 is functionally equivalent to Puppet and a drop-in replacement, but not tested to Puppet's standard.
- Migration Instructions: Migrating is simple. Replace packages following instructions on the new install page. Currently using
apt|yum.overlookinfratech.comrepositories; will be moved to voxpupuli.org namespace. Not recommended for critical production yet. - Support: For professional migration assistance, check the support page.

- Modernize OpenVox codebase and ecosystem, supporting current OS.
- Center on community requirements; user needs drive development.
- Democratize platform support by allowing community contributions.
- Maintain an active and responsive open source community like Vox Pupuli's namespace.
