Priorities include device drivers, graphics, hypervisor, database support, and performance.
• COSMIC Alpha 4: COSMIC Desktop released Alpha 4. Redox includes COSMIC Editor, etc., and nightly build has improvements.
• Redox On Redox: Andrey Turkin ran RISC-V version of Redox Server on x86-64 Redox Desktop using RVVM emulator.
• Compiling on WSL: Charlie Philips from Georgia Tech did a video tutorial on building Redox on WSL.
• Kernel Improvements: Jeremy Soller fixed a bug on MSI for Meteor Lake CPUs with USB keyboard support. Arthur Paulino refactored the switch function. Andrey Turkin changed RISC-V PLIC compatible string.
• Driver Improvements: Tim Finnegan fixed a deadlock on USB device initialization.
• Relibc Improvements: Josh Megnauth fixed various issues like panics, overflows, buffer overruns, etc. plimkilde implemented some functions and added tests.
• Programs: bitstr0m fixed libevent compilation. Ribbon compiled more Rust programs and demos. Josh Megnauth updated OpenJazz. Amir Ghazanfari improved Sodium file selection.
• Testing Improvements: Ron Williams fixed CI of Redox build system and created benchmarks repository.
• Build System Improvements: Ron Williams improved installer error handling, added recipes, implemented "source" value. Andrey Turkin fixed linker warnings.
• Documentation Improvements: Ribbon explained package management, fixed tutorial issues, improved security page, added accessibility doc. Jeffrey Carter fixed Raspberry Pi build instructions. Brandon Konkle removed outdated vga=no references. David Pfeiffer added a hardware report. Matthew Croughan added a hardware report.
