• Discovery of Cult: In 2006, documents of the Cult of the Bound Variable were discovered. With ICFP community's help, their computing device was revived and information was recovered. Recent observations from the Pegovka observatory showed the cult still exists and has migrated to space, suspected to be with Endo's help.
• Interstellar Communication: After months of research, a communication channel with the Cult was set up using Interstellar Communication Functional Programs (ICFP). Findings about ICFP expressions can be found at [https://icfpcontest2024.githu...].
• Challenges: While deciphering the communication language, challenges were faced. Basic communication uses strings. More advanced ICFP expressions should be implemented only when needed.
• Communication Channel: A communication channel with the Cult is open. Send HTTP POST requests to https://boundvariable.space/communicate with ICFP in the body and the Authorization header from the team page. Can also use web-based communication and found S'%4}).$%8 as an entrypoint.
• Limits: Due to energy and cost reasons, there are limits on messages. POST body must not exceed 1 MB and at most 20 messages per minute.
• Scoring: Tests for each course are scored using the Borda count. Better performance on a test leads to a higher rank. Absolute scores don't matter, only the order.
• Final Code Submit: Submit code via the team page near the end of the contest. Closing 3 hours after the end. No separate submission for lightning round but include README.
• Contest Details: This year's tasks are new. No changes during the contest except possible extra information at the end of the lightning round. Contestants should enjoy the contest and not try to break the server.
