• After: After chatting with educators, they decided to create a tool to guide and teach users to shape sound using traditional instruments and effects instead of generating sound from scratch. They wanted it to integrate with Ableton Live and found Daniel Jones' AbletonOSC library.
• Design: The design is to make an agent with a familiar chat interface based on the rich history of synth interface design and LLM training set. Pioneers like Don Buchla made synthesizers with unique interfaces.
• Vroom Live: After a weekend of hacking, Vroom Live was born. It uses OpenAI's function calling and can be ported to other language models. It shines with descriptive samples and effects and works well with virtual synthesizers.
