康卡斯特宣布以 38 亿美元收购梦工厂。

  • April 28, 2016 8:30am Update: Comcast announced acquiring DreamWorks Animation for $3.8 billion. It will become part of the Universal Filmed Entertainment Group. The deal needs antitrust regulator approval; if approved, it's expected to be completed by the end of 2016.
  • Original Post: Anonymous sources confirmed Comcast is in talks to buy DreamWorks Animation for “more than $3 billion”. DreamWorks is one of the last major animation studios not owned by a conglomerate. It has had successes like *Shrek*, *Kung Fu Panda*, and *How to Train Your Dragon*, but also some flops. Comcast already owns Universal Pictures with its own animation studio, Illumination Entertainment. If the deal goes through, DreamWorks would be a separate entity. *Variety* notes DreamWorks has been looking for a buyer for 3 years and courting SoftBank and Hasbro. A Comcast purchase could use DreamWorks' IP in theme parks and create new content. Both papers' sources cautioned talks are in early stages and could fail. *Wall Street Journal* noted DreamWorks' estimated worth is around $2.3 billion and it has pushed into TV markets.
