Windows Live Movie Maker 14 最终走出了测试阶段。

  • Release Information: Microsoft released the final version of Windows Live Movie Maker at build 14.0.8091.0730 on [download.live.com/moviemaker] or via the [offline installer link] (6.44MB). It requires Windows Vista or Windows 7. As Windows 7 won't have its own Movie Maker app, Microsoft is releasing an updated version before its October 22, 2009 release.
  • Supported File Formats: The new version supports Windows Media Video (WMV), Windows Media DV-AVI, Microsoft Recorded TV Show, 3GP, 3GPP, MPEG-2, MPEG-1, Motion JPEG, JPEG, TIFF, GIF, Bitmap, PNG, QuickTime.mov and.qt, AVCHD, and MPEG-4 files. The last three are only supported in Windows 7 with better format support than its predecessor.
  • Sharing Ways: Videos can be shared from within the application in various ways such as saving to a mobile device, sharing via email, burning to DVD, displaying on PC or TV (Media Center Edition, Blu-ray) in high definition, viewing via streaming media player, displaying on Xbox, Zune, iPod, sending to file sharing websites like Windows Live SkyDrive, or sending to video-sharing websites (YouTube and Facebook for now, with more sites to come).
  • Features in New Release:

    • Live Preview: Allows a brief glimpse of transitions and effects as the mouse hovers over them for quick choice.
    • Share Online: Easy to publish to YouTube with extensibility for Facebook and other online sharing sites.
    • Fit content to music length: One-click to make content match soundtrack perfectly.
    • Video editing: Makes video editing easy for consumers to find and include the best parts.
    • Content transitions: Adds professionalism to videos by seamlessly flowing between photos and videos.
    • Auto Movie: Creates a beautiful video in under one minute with transitions, title, captions, and soundtrack.
    • Slide show creation: Great for creating photo slide shows with fun transitions and effects.
    • Intuitive user interface: Uses the same UI as Windows or Office for familiar experience.
    • Storyboard: Allows easy layout and dragging/dropping of elements.
    • Photo animations: Adds panning and zooming to photos for an action flick.
    • Save in HD 480, 720 and 1080p (Windows 7 only): Creates a great viewing experience in high-definition format.
    • Audio editing: Easy to tailor soundtrack with audio editing.
    • Import photos and videos: Easy to get photos and videos from devices into a movie.
    • Visual effects: Adds variety to photos with rich effects.
    • Titles, captions and credits: Uses text captions and adds title screens and end credits.
    • Additional Features: Add a soundtrack, undo/redo, make DVD, create in standard or widescreen format, and adjust brightness.
  • Beta Promise Fulfilled: In June 2009, Microsoft promised Windows Live Movie Maker would go out of beta by the end of the year, and with today's release, it kept the promise. The beta version had fewer features than Vista's Movie Maker, and many users were annoyed with the development pace. Microsoft hopes this release rectifies the disappointment.
