- SkyBox for Windows Mobile Devices: It is a MobileMe-like service by Microsoft to be unveiled at Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona along with Windows Mobile 6.5. Microsoft is planning SkyBox versions 1.0, 1.5, and 2.0 and will start with a free ad-supported version and later offer a subscription-based premium service.
- getskybox.com Beta Site: It is already live and is called "Microsoft My Phone" by Engadget Mobile.
Features of Microsoft My Phone:
- Back up phone information to a password-protected website. It syncs phone information to a Microsoft-hosted website. In case of phone loss or upgrade, data can be restored to a new phone. Most Windows Mobile 6 phones are compatible.
- Access and update contacts and appointments on the web. Use a web browser to view and manage phone info. Add, edit, and delete contacts and calendar appointments, and changes sync to the phone.
- Share photos with friends and family. Easily view photos taken with the camera phone on the computer. Save photos to the computer or email them to others from the web account.
- Signup for Beta: It wasn't working at the time of publishing, but MWC is less than two weeks away, so it should be available soon.
