Introduction

The Baidu Open Cloud Hackathon is organised by the Baidu Developers Club and co-organised by InfoQ and SegmentFault The event takes places in the key cities of Beijing, Chengdu, Wuhan, Taipei and Singapore. Asia-based startup teams, developers, UI/UX designers should not miss this opportunity to be a part of Baidu’s first developer relations activity outside of mainland China.

Applicants can apply as individuals or as part of a team. Winning entries will be judged by a panel of respected local investors and entrepreneurs, and exciting prizes await the winners.

Through the Hackathon, startups can expose their products and ideas to mainland’s media and most importantly, receive important technical support from Baidu.

A hackathon (also known as a hack day, hackfest or codefest) is an event in which computer programmers and others involved in software development, including graphic designers, interface designers and project managers, collaborate intensively on software projects.
