about gitignore globbing patterns

1.在.gitignore 文件中有一个匹配模式是 debug.log ,它可以匹配过滤掉仓库中文件中的的debug.log文件 包括： debug.log logs/debug.log;但如果我写成 logs/debug.log 它匹配的文件只有logs/debug.log 而不能匹配过滤掉debug.log,build/logs/debug.log
